    I bought a spark plug Fowler from AutoZone but I had to drill the inside of it to fit the tip of the oxygen sensor for my 2007 2.4 Honda Accord. It was a 350,000 miles vehicle and it was not worth to change the catalytic converter. A year later it got totaled and the junkyard paid me more because it had the original factory catalytic converter.

    • @projectfixit
      @projectfixit 25 дней назад

      In general, probably not, but I believe the inside pad might tend to wear quicker due to caliper piston being on the inside. In my video, I just made note of where the wear indicator was originally and reinstalled the new pads accordingly.

    Oil changes on these trucks are reason enough never to buy another one. What a bad design. Spin on oil filters been working for 60 years so lets make it harder and add the potential for 2 or 3 more places for an oil leak. Oh AND lets make the filter housing out of plastic as well. fck me..

  • @donkeykong1234
    @donkeykong1234 Месяц назад

    thanks this was easier than i thought, after putting it off for 6 days. i didn't have an actuator arm, the pieces popped off cleanly in about 2 minutes. hardest past was the bulbs not coming out easily so i had to come back here and then use gloves and put some oomph into pushing them out counterclockwise with both hands. afterwards it was easy. i couldn't get one of the trim pieces by the arm to look perfectly flush anymore even though it's clipped and tucked in, but i guess nobody is going to look up there. probably a 15 min job with instructions

    I don't know what color my coolant is because I just got this car but I normally only see red coolant for semi trucks. Any reason why it's red in this car? Used to it being green.

    • @projectfixit
      @projectfixit Месяц назад

      It's best not to mix different color coolants due to their chemistries. If you're not certain which coolant to use, you can google your specific car make, model and year to confirm which coolant to use. Auto parts store can also confirm which to choose. For my Toyotas, I just go to Walmart / Amazon and select the pink fluid designated for Asian vehicles calling out Toyota and Lexus.

    I just finished replacing the 6 spark plugs This video is very honest to tell the viewers that the biggest challenge is the removal of the 3 bolts( one 14 and two 12) behind the air intake. I had to lie on the engine(with a thick cardboard underneath ) to gain access to the 3bolts. After the replacement I do not bother to put them back( except the throttle one). I think the air intake is already sturdy enough with the 4 or 5 Allen screws Good luck

So, much so, I waited for my son to arrive to assist me. Luckily he found the issue rather quickly. Mine was a black tube at the top back left side of the machine. It had worked it's way loose and water was gushing out of it whenever I turned the machine on. It took us several times to figure it out though. Man, I'm so thankful it wasn't an expensive fix.

    Unfortunately I just had the same symptoms. Worse cost. 2017 Tundra with just 69K miles. Driving and AC stops blowing cold. I did some online searching and diagnosing as you did. Was not just a relay as everyone else says. Took to dealership they replaced the clutch and compressor and dryer box for $2K, still didn’t work. At that point Toyota says they need to pull apart entire dash to also replace evaporator and expansion valve box. Another $2.5K. !!!! This truck is still a baby in my eyes with 69K miles and a $4.5K repair. I was planning to buy a nice LEER extra tall canopy shell this year- instead I rebought my entire AC system. 🤦‍♂️
